Sauce
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup bacon
  • 1 cup Canadian cottage cheese
  • cups Canadian 2% milk
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • cups shredded Canadian cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Canadian parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoon corn starch
  • ¼ teaspoon mustard powder
  • teaspoon black pepper
Pasta
  • 1 pack macaroni elbows
  • ½ cup bacon cooked
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoon Canadian unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoon sliced green onions

  1. Sauté the veggies: In a bit of butter, cook the bacon and bell pepper until soft and fragrant.
  2. Blend the sauce: Add all sauce ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Cook and thicken: Pour the sauce into a large pot over medium heat. Stir often until it thickens, about 5 minutes.
  4. Combine: Add the cooked pasta and bacon to the sauce. Stir until everything is coated and heated through.
