If you only make one drink this summer, make it this creamy mango lemonade. It's fresh lemon juice, blended frozen mango, and a can of sweetened condensed milk — and it tastes like the tropical drink you'd pay $9 for at a beach bar. Ready in 10 minutes, no cooking, no simple syrup, no stovetop. Just a blender and a pitcher!

Most mango lemonade recipes online make four little glasses. This one fills an entire 140-ounce pitcher — around 13 to 16 servings — which is exactly what you actually need when people are over and it's 95 degrees outside. I sized the recipe against my own pitcher until the ingredients filled it to the top with room for ice, so you're not stuck guessing or doing math halfway through.
The thing that makes this different from a regular lemonade is the sweetened condensed milk. It sounds strange until you try it — it's the same trick behind Brazilian lemonade, and it turns sharp citrus into something silky and almost creamsicle-like. Paired with mango, it's ridiculous. In the best way.
Honestly, this drink has turned into a whole summer tradition for us. My husband and I make a pitcher of it basically every Friday once the weather turns, and it never stays in our kitchen for long — we end up calling the neighbors over, and the pitcher is empty within the hour. That's genuinely why the recipe is sized this big!

Creamy Mango Lemonade (Easy 10-Minute Pitcher Recipe)
Ingredients
Equipment
Method
- Juice the lemons. Roll each lemon firmly on the counter before cutting — it breaks down the membranes inside and you'll get noticeably more juice out. Juice all 5 lemons into your pitcher, straining out seeds and pulp. You're looking for about ¾ cup. (WATCH VIDEO BELOW)
- Make the lemon water. Pour 60 fluid ounces (7½ cups) of cold water into the pitcher with the lemon juice and stir. Add a big scoop of ice. Set it aside while you blend — this keeps everything cold, which matters more than you'd think.
- Blend the mango mixture. Add the 21 ounces of frozen mango, the whole can of sweetened condensed milk, and 4 cups of cold water to your blender. Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until it's completely smooth and pale orange with no fruit flecks left. (WATCH VIDEO BELOW)
- Combine. Pour the mango blend into the pitcher with the lemon water. Stir well with a long spoon — the mango mixture is thicker and will sit at the bottom otherwise. Keep stirring until the color is even all the way through. (WATCH VIDEO BELOW)
- Taste and adjust. Too tart? Splash in more water. Not sweet enough? A tablespoon or two more condensed milk. Lemons vary a lot in size and sourness, so always taste before serving.
- Serve over lots of ice. Fill glasses to the top with ice and pour. Garnish with a lemon wheel or a mint sprig if you're feeling fancy. Give the pitcher a stir before every refill!
Notes
Storage
- Fridge: Up to 3 days in a sealed pitcher or airtight container. It will separate as it sits — this is completely normal with condensed milk and citrus. Just stir well before pouring.
- Make ahead: Blend the mango mixture up to 24 hours ahead and keep it in a sealed jar in the fridge. Juice the lemons the day of. Combine right before serving for the freshest flavor.
- Freezer: Pour leftovers into popsicle molds or an ice cube tray! Frozen into pops, this is unbelievable. Don't freeze and thaw the whole pitcher though — the texture goes grainy and doesn't come back.

Substitutions
- Sweetened condensed milk: sweetened condensed coconut milk — the easiest dairy-free swap and the coconut actually works beautifully with mango.
- Lemons: limes — this is how classic Brazilian lemonade is made, and it's just as good.
- Frozen mango: 4 cups fresh ripe mango chunks + a big handful of ice, or about 2 cups canned mango pulp (reduce the condensed milk slightly, pulp is sweeter).
- Water: sparkling water for the pitcher portion — add it right before serving so it stays fizzy.
- Sweetened condensed milk (lighter option): ½ cup honey or simple syrup + ½ cup heavy cream. Not identical, but close.
- Fresh lemon juice: bottled lemon juice in a pinch — use ¾ cup and expect a slightly duller flavor.
- Plain water: coconut water for the mango blend — adds a subtle tropical note.
- Mango: frozen peaches or frozen pineapple. Same method, completely different (and delicious) drink.

Frequently asked questions
Can I make mango lemonade without condensed milk? Yes — swap the condensed milk for ¾ cup of simple syrup or honey and you'll have a classic, non-creamy mango lemonade. You'll lose the silky texture, but the mango-lemon flavor is still excellent. If you want creamy but dairy-free, sweetened condensed coconut milk is the better swap.
Why does my mango lemonade look separated? Separation is completely normal and doesn't mean it's spoiled. The mango pulp is heavier than the lemon water, so it settles to the bottom within an hour. Stir it well with a long spoon before every pour and it comes right back together.
Can I make this ahead of time for a party? Yes, and I'd recommend blending the mango base up to 24 hours ahead. Store it in a sealed jar in the fridge, then combine it with the fresh lemon water and ice right before guests arrive. The lemon flavor is brightest within a few hours of juicing.
Can I use fresh mango instead of frozen? Fresh ripe mango works great — use about 4 cups of chunks and add a big handful of ice to the blender to make up for the chill. Frozen mango is usually more reliable, though, because it's frozen at peak ripeness and won't be stringy or bland the way an underripe grocery-store mango can be.
How much does this recipe make? This makes about 130 fluid ounces, roughly one gallon, which fills a 140-ounce pitcher with room for ice. That's 13 to 16 servings depending on glass size. For a standard 64-ounce pitcher, cut every ingredient exactly in half.
Can I add alcohol to this? Yes — white rum, vodka, or tequila all work beautifully here. Add 1½ ounces per glass rather than dumping it into the pitcher, so you can serve both versions from the same batch. Coconut rum is especially good with the mango.
