- Boil a large pot of salted water for the pasta while making the sauce.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Chop the onion and mince the garlic. Cook them in the oil until the onion is soft.
- Pour in the white wine, then add the saffron. Let it simmer over medium heat for 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and simmer on low heat for another 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings.
- Add the cooked pasta to the pasta sauce, mix well, and serve. Enjoy your delicious saffron pasta!
- Add grated parmesan cheese to creamy saffron pasta sauce for extra flavour. This is optional.
