Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 ½ cups Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cup White Sugar
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup All Purpose Flour
  • ½ cup Cocoa Powder
  • 2 cups Oreos c

Equipment

  • Deep Baking Dish 8"x8"
  • Large Bowl
  • Spatula

Method
 

Prepare the Chocolate Mixture:
  1. In a small saucepan, melt ½ cup of unsalted butter over low heat.
  2. Add 1 ½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, stirring continuously until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
Mix the Sugars:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of white sugar and ½ cup of packed brown sugar.
  2. Whisk until well combined.
Incorporate Wet Ingredients:
  1. To the sugar mixture, add 3 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
  2. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and slightly fluffy. Add in the chocolate butter mixture.
Combine Dry Ingredients:
  1. Gradually sift in ½ cup of all-purpose flour and ½ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder.
  2. Gently fold until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
Add Oreos:
  1. Fold in 2 cups of roughly crushed Oreo cookies, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Preheat and Prepare:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a 8”x 8” (20cm x 20cm) baking dish with parchment paper.
Pour and Top:
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  2. For an extra indulgent touch, sprinkle additional chocolate chips and crushed Oreos over the top.
Bake:
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (for fudgier brownies) or clean (for cakier brownies).
Cool and Serve:
  1. Allow the brownies to cool in the baking dish for at least 20 minutes.
