Cool, slice & serve!

  1. Prepare the Chocolate Mixture: In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
  2. Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips, stirring continuously until completely melted and smooth. Remove the pan from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Mix the Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, combine white sugar and packed brown sugar. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Incorporate Wet Ingredients: To the sugar mixture, add the eggs, vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of salt.  Whisk until the mixture is smooth and slightly fluffy.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients: Gradually sift in the all-purpose flour and the unsweetened cocoa powder. Gently fold until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
  6. Add Oreos: Fold in 2 cups of roughly crushed Oreo cookies, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 8”x 8” (20cm x 20cm) baking dish with parchment paper.
  8. Pour and Top: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. For an extra indulgent touch, sprinkle additional chocolate chips and crushed Oreos over the top.
  9. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (for fudgier brownies) or clean (for cakier brownies).
  10. Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool in the baking dish for at least 20 minutes. Slice into squares and serve!

How to Store and Reheat

  • To store, transfer any leftover Oreo Brownies into an airtight container or sealable plastic bag and promptly refrigerate them.
  • To Reheat, simply pop them in the microwave for a quick blast on medium heat, or place them in a preheated oven at 350°F for a few minutes.

3 Top Tips for Success

  1. Use Good Ingredients: Make tasty Oreo brownies with top-notch stuff like quality chocolate chips, fresh eggs, and real butter. Good ingredients make your brownies taste amazing!
  2. Be Gentle with Oreos: When adding Oreos to your brownie mix, crush them gently. This keeps their crunch intact. Avoid mixing too much so your brownies stay just right.
  3. Don't Bake Too Long: Aim for fudgy brownies by not baking them too long. Bake until the edges set and a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs. That way, you get moist and gooey brownies every time.
