Substitutions for Date Snickers
Medjool Dates: Substitute with other varieties of dates such as Deglet Noor or Barhi dates. Additionally, dried figs or prunes can be used as alternatives in recipes calling for Medjool dates.
Smooth Peanut Butter: Use a crunchy peanut butter. Or if you have a peanut allergy, use almond butter or a cashew butter.
Chopped Peanuts: Replace with chopped almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, crushed pretzels, shredded coconut, or any other nuts of your choice.
Dark Chocolate: Swap with milk chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate chips, or dairy-free chocolate.
Coconut Oil: Substitute with butter, margarine, or vegetable oil.
Flakey Sea Salt: Use coarse salt like sea salt or Himalayan pink salt. Fine salt can be used but reduce the amount slightly..

3 Top Tips for Success
1. Quality Ingredients: Choose fresh, high-quality & chewy dates & runny natural peanut butter for rich flavor. The type of chocolate is so important as well, opt for premium dark chocolate for a decadent coating. A flaky sea salt is a necessity to create this sweet and salty treat!
2. Attention to Detail: Ensure dates are properly seeded and evenly filled with peanut butter. Coat each date thoroughly in melted chocolate for a smooth finish.
3. Creative Touches: Experiment with toppings like chopped nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt to enhance flavor and texture. Personalize the recipe with optional additions like drizzled white chocolate for a festive twist.
FAQ's for this Easy and Healthy Date Snickers Recipe
Yes! This is my take on the same viral recipe! Make sure to use the Medjool dates, they are the best dates!
Date Snickers is a healthier alternative than the real thing due to it's natural sugars, fiber in dates, wholesome ingredients and antioxidants in dark chocolate. Yet, moderation is key for both.
I always use 70% Lindt dark chocolate, because it is my favorite candy bar and an incredible chocolate choice!
