Substitutions
- Chicken: Chicken thighs work great and stay extra juicy.
- Soy sauce: Use low-sodium or swap with tamari or coconut aminos.
- Honey: Maple syrup works if that’s what you’ve got.
Equipment
- Large non-stick skillet
- Mixing bowls
- Whisk
- Tongs or spatula

Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave until warmed through.
Top tips for Success
Don’t overcrowd the pan — you want golden edges, not steamed chicken.
The cornstarch on the chicken helps it crisp and cling to the sauce.
Sauce thickens fast, so keep stirring once it’s in the pan.

FAQ
Yes, but it’s best fresh. If prepping ahead, cube and season the chicken in advance and cook right before serving.
Nope — but a pinch of chili flakes or chili crisp takes it to the next level.
Rice is classic, but it’s also great in lettuce cups, wraps, or over noodles.
