To store, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm on the stovetop over low-medium heat, adding broth or cream to maintain moisture. Alternatively, microwave in short intervals, stirring in between. Avoid overheating to preserve texture.

3 Top Tips for Success

  1. Get That Perfect Creamy Texture: Gradually add heavy cream over low heat for a smooth, creamy sauce.
  2. Try To Enhance The Flavour: Tear brie cheese into small pieces to ensure it melts evenly, enriching the dish.
  3. Next-Day Delight: Store leftovers in an airtight container for a delicious meal the next day; reheat gently on low heat to maintain quality.

FAQ's

Is it better to bake or boil gnocchi?

For a beginner, boiling gnocchi is simpler and faster, ensuring a tender texture. Reserve pasta water for sauce and use egg yolks for richness. Baking can enhance flavour but requires more attention to prevent drying.

What are the best potatoes for gnocchi?

When making gnocchi, go for starchy potatoes like Russets—they create a fluffy texture. Boil them in a small saucepan, which saves time and hassle, perfect for beginners. Starchy potatoes absorb less water, resulting in lighter, more delicate gnocchi.

How to make gnocchi not mushy?

For firm gnocchi, choose starchy potatoes, like Russets. Avoid overworking the dough and boil gently until they float. Drain promptly and ensure the sauce isn't too watery to maintain texture.
