Enjoy these heavenly Pizza Croissants!
- Start by activating the yeast: mix instant yeast, sugar, and warm milk, then set aside for 10 minutes.
- While the yeast activates, combine flour, salt, warm water, and vegetable oil. Once mixed, add in the yeast mixture and begin kneading the dough. Drizzle a teaspoon of oil both under and on top of the dough. Wrap it in plastic and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the filling by mixing diced ham, shredded mozzarella, and ketchup, then set it aside.
- After the dough has rested, divide it into two portions and roll each into a rectangular shape. Use a pizza cutter to divide each rectangle in half lengthwise, then make small cuts along the longer side of each piece.
- Spread the filling onto each piece of dough, then roll them up. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, cut the rolls to fit the tray, and place them on it. Cover and let them rest for another 30 minutes. Repeat this process with the other half of the dough.
- While the rolls are resting, preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C) and prepare the glaze. Whisk together one egg, oil, and paprika powder. Brush the glaze onto the croissants and sprinkle with oregano if desired. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
- Once baked, allow the croissants to cool for a few minutes before enjoying them!
Substitutions
Ham: Substitute with cooked chicken, turkey, bacon, or veggies like mushrooms or roasted vegetables.
Mozzarella: Substitute with cheddar, Swiss, or any cheese you like.
Ketchup/Tomato sauce: Use pizza sauce, marinara, or pesto for a different taste.
Oregano: Use Italian seasoning, basil, or thyme for flavor.
Instant yeast: If you don't have instant yeast, use active dry yeast, but activate it in warm water first.
Warm milk: You can use warm water or any warm plant-based milk like almond or soy milk.
Flour: Try whole wheat, bread flour, or gluten-free flour if you need it.
Vegetable oil: Use melted butter or olive oil for richness.
Egg: Instead of egg, use milk, cream, or a mix of honey and water for sweetness.

How to store and reheat
Once your pizza croissants cool down, pop them in an airtight container and store them in the fridge. When you're ready to eat, just heat them up in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes until they're nice and warm. Then, dig in and enjoy those tasty, cheesy bites!
3 Top tips for success
- Activate yeast by mixing with sugar and warm milk for 10 min.
- Thoroughly mix ham, mozzarella, and ketchup for even flavor distribution.
- Brush croissants with egg-oil-paprika glaze before baking to get the most perfect crispy golden croissants.
FAQ
To make croissant pizza, preheat your oven to 375°F to 400°F (190°C to 200°C). Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes until it's golden brown and the cheese is all melty.
Pizza rolls are like tiny pizza bites! They're made with a dough that's filled with yummy pizza stuff like cheese, sauce, and toppings. Then, they're baked until they're crispy and delicious.
Crescent rolls and croissants are kinda similar, but not exactly the same. Both are made with layers of dough and butter, but croissants have more layers and are richer and butterier. Crescent rolls are a bit sweeter and might not have as much butter.
