  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    In a large bowl, combine the chicken cubes with all the ingredients for marinating. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Cover and marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers. Air fry or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  3. Prepare the Seasoned Butter:
    While the chicken cooks, prepare the seasoned butter, combining softened butter with all the listed ingredients mixing well. Set aside.
  4. Finish the Chicken:
    Once the chicken is done, baste it generously with the seasoned butter while still hot for an extra boost of flavor.
  5. Warm the Naan:
    Heat the naan bread in a skillet or air fryer until soft enough to fold easily.
  6. Assemble the Gyros:
    Lay the naan flat and spread a generous layer of tzatziki. Add a handful of French fries, the buttery chicken pieces, and all the veggies. Wrap the naan tightly with parchment paper.
  7. Serve & Enjoy:
    Serve these delicious homemade chicken gyros fresh and warm. Enjoy the perfect balance of flavors and textures!

Tip: Soak wooden skewers in water for 15-20 minutes before threading the chicken to prevent them from burning during baking.

How to Store & Reheat

Storing:

  • Chicken: Let the chicken cool, then store it in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • Sauces: Keep tzatziki and seasoned butter in separate containers in the fridge for 3-4 days. Prepare fresh veggies when ready to Reheat.

Reheating:

  • Chicken: Reheat in a skillet on medium heat for a few minutes or in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
  • Naan Bread: Warm in a skillet, microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel, or in the oven for a few minutes.
  • Tzatziki: Take it out of the fridge before serving and stir if needed. Prepping veggies as desired.

  • 1. Marinate for Maximum Flavor
    Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, but if time allows, marinate it for a few hours or overnight to achieve deeper, richer flavor.
