- Air Fryer Instructions: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the chicken patties in a single layer in the basket and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side.
Substitutions
- Bacon: Turkey bacon, pancetta, crispy fried mushrooms, or tempeh bacon.
- Ground chicken: Ground turkey or ground pork.
- Breadcrumbs: Panko, crushed crackers, cornflakes, almond flour, or ground oats.
- Worcestershire sauce: Soy sauce with lemon or vinegar, balsamic vinegar, or coconut aminos.

Variation: Turkey & Pancetta BLT Burger
- Swap the ground chicken for ground turkey for a leaner patty, and replace the bacon with pancetta to keep that rich, savory flavor. Use panko breadcrumbs for a lighter texture in the patties, and substitute Worcestershire sauce with a mix of soy sauce and a splash of lemon for a touch of umami.
Equipment
- Large Bowl, for mixing
- Baking Paper & Baking Tray
- Oven or Air Fryer
Storage
To store, refrigerate cooked chicken patties in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer. For longer storage, freeze the patties for up to 3 months, separating each with parchment paper. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating. Avoid assembling burgers until ready to serve.

Top tips for Success
- Don’t overmix the patties: Gently combine the ingredients to keep the chicken patties tender. Overmixing can result in a dense texture.
- Check internal temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the patties reach 165°F (74°C) for safe, juicy burgers.
- Toast the buns: Lightly toasting the brioche buns adds flavor and helps prevent them from getting soggy.
FAQs
To add more heat, increase the amount of chili flakes or mix in finely chopped jalapeños or hot sauce into the patty mixture. You can also use a spicier mayo or add sriracha to your sauce for an extra kick.
