Storage
Store leftover Honey Garlic Shrimp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, gently warm in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of water or broth to prevent the sauce from drying out. Avoid microwaving to maintain the shrimp's texture.
Top tips for Success
- Pat the shrimp dry before coating with cornstarch to achieve a crispy, golden crust when cooked.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan; cook the shrimp in batches if necessary to ensure even searing and avoid steaming.
- Simmer the sauce slowly to allow it to reduce and thicken properly, enhancing the rich honey garlic flavor.
FAQs
Absolutely! You can reduce the honey or balance the sweetness with a splash of lemon juice or vinegar to add tang.
If the sauce isn’t thick enough, simmer it longer or mix 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with water and stir it into the sauce.
Yes, but be sure to fully thaw and pat them dry before cooking. This helps achieve a crispy exterior and prevents excess moisture in the pan.
