Serve & Enjoy
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 360 °F (182 °C) and position the rack in the center of the oven.
Prepare the Brie: Take the block of Brie and using a sharp knife, make four cuts on the top surface of the Brie. These cuts should be made halfway into the Brie, forming a cross pattern.
Add Garlic: Slice the garlic cloves thinly. Insert the slices of garlic into the cuts you made on the Brie. The garlic will infuse its flavor into the cheese as it bakes.
Add Cherry Tomatoes: Scatter cherry tomatoes around the Brie on the baking dish. You can use as many tomatoes as you prefer, depending on your taste.
Season and Drizzle: Sprinkle the top of the Brie and the cherry tomatoes with oregano seasoning. Drizzle the Brie and tomatoes with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated. Place a sprig of fresh rosemary on top of the Brie for added flavor.
Prepare the Baguette: Slice the baguette into thin slices. Lay the slices on a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle olive oil over each slice and sprinkle with oregano seasoning.
Bake: Place the baking dish with the Brie and cherry tomatoes, and the baking sheet with the baguette slices, in the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the Brie is soft and gooey, and the tomatoes are slightly blistered.
Serve: Once baked, carefully transfer the Brie to a serving platter. Arrange the baguette slices around the Brie and serve immediately while everything is warm and gooey.
Substitutions
Brie:
- Camembert cheese - similar in texture and flavor to Brie, it's the perfect substitute.
- Triple cream cheese: Another creamy cheese as an alternative to Brie.
Cherry tomatoes:
- Grape tomatoe - these are so small and sweet, similar in size and flavor to cherry tomatoes!
- Diced Roma tomatoes - if you prefer larger pieces of tomato, diced Roma tomatoes can be used instead.
Garlic:
- Garlic powder
- Garlic paste
- Garlic salt
- Garlic flakes
Olive Oil:
- Avocado oil - this oil has a mild flavor and high smoke point - perfect for cooking and baking.
- Canola oil - another neutral-flavored oil. Use this for recipes where the flavor of olive oil is not crucial.
- Melted butter
Rosemary:
- Marjoram
- Savory
- Herbes de Provence
- Thyme
- Sage
Oregano Seasoning:
- Italian seasoning blend - this blend includes oregano along with other herbs like basil, thyme, and rosemary, it’s the perfect substitute.

Storage
To keep Brie appetizers fresh, wrap them well and put them in the fridge for up to 2 days. When you want to warm them up, pop them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes.
Don't use the microwave—it might make this Easy Brie Appetizer too gooey.
3 Top Tips for Success
Choose Quality Ingredients: Opt for a good quality block of Brie cheese for the best flavor and texture. Fresh cherry tomatoes and fragrant rosemary will enhance the overall taste of the dish. Using fresh garlic cloves rather than pre-minced garlic will also provide a more robust flavor.
Don't Overbake: Keep an eye on the Brie and cherry tomatoes while they're in the oven to prevent overbaking. The Brie should be soft and gooey but not melted into a pool of cheese. Overbaking can cause the cheese to become too runny and lose its shape. Similarly, the cherry tomatoes should be slightly blistered but not overly shriveled.
Customize Seasonings to Taste: While this recipe calls for oregano seasoning, feel free to customize the seasonings to suit your taste preferences. You can experiment with different herbs and spices such as thyme, basil, or even a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat. Adjust the amount of seasoning based on your flavor preferences, but remember not to overpower the delicate flavor of the Brie.
