Ingredients for this Easy Strawberry Chia Pudding Breakfast Recipe

strawberry chia pudding recipe-1
  • Fresh or Frozen Strawberries
  • Milk
  • Maple syrup
  • Vanilla extra
  • Chia seeds

Layer with: Greek yogurt, granola & fresh strawberries

See recipe card for quantities.

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a blender & blend.

Add chia seeds. Pour smoothie mixture overtop.

Store in fridge for at least 3 hours or overnight.

Layer with greek yogurt, granola & fresh strawberries.

  1. Start by combining fresh/frozen strawberries, milk, maple syrup, and a dash of vanilla extract in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add chia seeds to a container, pour the smoothie mixture overtop & mix well. Stir thoroughly to ensure the chia seeds are evenly distributed.
  3. Cover the container and let it chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours, ideally overnight. This allows the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and create a creamy, pudding-like texture.
  4. Serve, garnished with fresh strawberries, granola & Greek yogurt.

Substitutions

1. Strawberries: Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, peaches, mango, pineapple.

2. Milk: Almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk, oat milk, cashew milk, hemp milk or water.

3. Maple Syrup: Honey, agave, brown rice syrup, date syrup, stevia.

4. Vanilla Extract: Almond extract, coconut extract.

5. Chia Seeds: Flaxseeds, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds. (But chia seeds will make the pudding like texture)

Equipment

Knife

Cutting Board

High Speed Blender

Storage

Refrigerate pudding in a sealed container for up to 2-3 days depending on the freshness of your ingredients.

Top tip for Success!

Taste the smoothie mixture to see if it's to your desired sweetness before mixing with the chia seed. Add more sweetener (maple syrup) if you'd like. Or if it's too sweet add additional milk or greek yogurt! Keep in mind, if you are layering with greek yogurt, it's alright for the smoothie mixture to be slightly sweeter!

Perfect Chia Seed Pudding Ratio: 1 tablespoon chia seeds to ¼ cup of any liquid!
