White Sugar:
- Substitute with brown sugar, coconut sugar, or maple syrup for a different flavor profile.

Storage for Tiramisu Cups
Storage: When storing Tiramisu cover the cups or baking dish tightly with plastic wrap or transfer to an airtight container to prevent air exposure and maintain freshness.
Refrigeration: Refrigerate the tiramisu cups for up to 3-4 days. Beyond this, the texture may start to degrade, and flavors could diminish.
Top Tips for Success!
1. Soak Ladyfingers Just Right: Dip the ladyfingers into the espresso mixture for just a few seconds. They should be soaked enough to absorb the flavor without becoming soggy. Over-soaking can lead to a mushy texture, so be mindful of the time they spend in the espresso mixture.
2. Maintain Fluffy Texture: When combining the mascarpone cream with the whipped cream, fold gently to maintain the airy and fluffy texture. Overmixing can deflate the mixture, resulting in a denser filling. Take care to fold until just combined for a light and creamy result.
3. Chill for Optimal Flavor: Refrigerate the assembled tiramisu cups for at least 6-8 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set properly. This chilling time enhances the taste and texture, resulting in a more delicious and cohesive dessert when served.
FAQ's for Tiramisu Cups
Yes, tiramisu cups can be made in advance. In fact, it's often recommended to allow them to chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to set and allow the flavors to meld together. Making them ahead of time also gives you more flexibility when planning for gatherings or special occasions.
While ladyfingers are traditional for tiramisu, you can certainly experiment with other types of biscuits or cake. Sponge cake or pound cake slices are common alternatives. Just be sure to adjust the soaking time accordingly to prevent them from becoming too soggy.
Yes, you can make tiramisu cups without alcohol. Simply omit the alcohol from the espresso mixture or use a non-alcoholic substitute such as coffee-flavored syrup or additional espresso. Tiramisu will still be delicious without the alcohol, though it may have a slightly different flavor profile.
